Fortis contracted as Blast Control Specialist, provided consultation and blasting services to a client. The project involved clearing approximately 20,000 cubic meters along a stretch of Highway in Northern Saskatchewan. This rock had to be blasted to provide space for a Right-of-Way and establish an aggregate supply source for the expanded road construction.

Fortis oversaw the blasting of the largest landmass seen in the pictures and 13 smaller blast zones that ran along both sides of the highway for approximately 3 kilometres. The goal was not just to clear the land but to do so in a controlled manner that maintained safety, minimized environmental impact, and ensured the integrity of the surrounding landscape.
