Fortis’ welding shop has fabricated numerous custom products and equipment for customers as well as equipment that is used by Fortis, including mine shaft conveyances, safety barriers, spreader beams, personnel baskets, galloways, sheave stands and reeling machines. With the access to a machine shop and support from our engineering department, we can design and build solutions for our customer’s needs.
Fortis’ welding shop provides excellent quality products with a dedicated team of CWB certified journey person welders, fabricators, and weld inspectors. Fortis is CWB certified in carbon and stainless steel. Fortis also has the capabilities to fabricate and repair piping to ASME B31.1, B31.3, and B31.5 and is able to handle a multitude of jobs, big or small.
