Fortis was contracted to complete the fabrication, installation, and commissioning of a new 10T monorail as well as the replacement of a 10T Chain Hoist on an existing 10T Monorail. The front end work included the shop fabrication of a new curved 10T monorail, procurement of (2x) new 10T Chain Hoists. Once materials were delivered to site Fortis installed the new 10T monorail and accompanying structural steel reinforcements. Once the monorail was installed to specification Fortis installed the (2x) new 10T Chain hoists and subcontracted the electrical installations and commissioning of the new hoists. Once the hoists were installed on the monorails the new and existing monorails/hoists were load tested as per CSA B167 standards with engineer stamped test reports issued to the client for their records. A comprehensive turnover binder was issued the client following the receipt of all final sign-offs.
